Read to Grow is a nonprofit literacy organization that works to give children a good start in life by educating parents about the important role they play in their child’s language and literacy development. We encourage parents to read to their babies right from birth, and give every newborn in our
participating Connecticut hospitals a free new children’s book. We make free books available to children and families throughout the state who need them, as well as to the programs that serve them. Since the organization began 10 years ago, Read to Grow has put more than 350,000 new and gently used books into the hands and homes of Connecticut’s children.  Click here to find out about our programs.>>
