At Lunch with Ted Kennedy Jr

What a wonderful afternoon we had with Ted Kennedy Jr., guest speaker at our recent 11th annual fundraising luncheon in New Haven. Our thanks to Citizens Bank and President Richard Barry for sponsoring the event and for their continuing support.

Kennedy shared warm personal memories of his father, the late Senator Edward M. Kennedy, with about 500 luncheon guests. We also met 11-year-old Teddy III, who charmed the audience with characteristic Kennedy ease and personality as he told a favorite story about his grandfather.

Awards were presented to Southern Connecticut State University and Pilgrim City Furniture for advancing children's literacy through partnerhips with Read to Grow.The fundraiser brought in more than $50,000 to help build literacy for every Connecticut child.
