Read to Grow Inducted into Channel 13 Hall of Fame

Read to Grow was recently inducted into the Community Hall of Fame, sponsored by the Community Advisory Boards of Channel Thirteen/WNET New York and WLIW21. The award recognizes organizations for exemplary efforts in the fields of arts, culture, education and social concerns related to the stations’ programming. Read to Grow was one of 11 recipients and the only Connecticut awardee.

Several board and staff members attended the awards ceremony in New York City, where we received a beautiful trophy in honor of our community service and leadership. Read to Grow’s name has been added to the Community Hall of Fame commemorative plaque that resides in the studio’s Visitor Center. Watch for us on a 30-second spot featuring this year’s inductees, to begin airing in January 2009!
