Board of Directors
Read to Grow is governed by an active, dedicated Board of Directors, whose expertise in a wide range of key areas guides our organization. Our board members are passionate about the importance of promoting early literacy and committed to giving all children a good start in life. They come from the fields of business and finance, early childhood education, health, nonprofit fundraising and development, and law. Board meetings are held monthly, with executive sessions as called. Each board member sits on at least one committee during his or her term of office, and much of the work of the Board is accomplished by the committees. Committee membership is also drawn from the community at large. Read to Grow operates and develops programs, policies and procedures according to a three-year strategic plan researched, written and adopted by the Board of Directors in 2006.
